Join Us at the Seattle Budget Roundtable

Last night, we kicked off our second year of the Seattle Budget Roundtable, reminding our City Councilmembers that "Budgets Are a Moral Document!" We are building on the success of last year by showing up weekly to demand that our councilmembers prioritize community care over punishment.

This year, we need to build a stronger team to flood city hall. We need you and three friends to join us for our Budgets Are a Moral Document Kickoff event on Thursday, October 16 from 7:00-8:30 PM (doors at 6:30 PM) at Seattle First Baptist Church. All people of faith and conscience are welcome! We will have live music, a speaker from the Seattle Solidarity Budget coalition, and share ways you can get involved in advocating for a budget that reflects the values of community care.

Our voices as people of faith and conscience are critical. At a time when the federal government is defunding and targeting organizations that center the needs of our communities, it is the moral imperative of cities like Seattle to invest our tax dollars in alignment with our values. We believe that our persistence in calling City Council to act in line with their words will have an impact this year. Will you join us in making this vision a reality? RSVP now!
