Church Council in the Community: MAPS Interfaith Iftar

On Sunday, Executive Directors Joey and Tara joined Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS) at their Interfaith Iftar. Speakers emphasized our faith traditions' shared commitment to actively loving our neighbors and the beauty and power of our diversity, which are far stronger than the religion of violence pouring out of the federal government. Above, faith leaders Imam Adam Jamal of MAPS, Rabbi David Basior of Kadima Reconstructionist Community, and Rev. Shalom Agtarap of First UMC of Tacoma spoke on the interfaith panel about how we can show up in solidarity with one another in this moment.
