Celebrating Our Fall Fundraiser!

Over the last nine months, politicized violence toward migrant communities, Black and brown communities, and trans communities, have escalated at an alarming rate. It’s overwhelming, it’s unpredictable, and it has violent consequences for our communities. In this time, one thing is abundantly clear: this is a moment when we need faith and Spirit to guide us.

Faith communities are asking: how can we respond well in this moment? How can we build and harness our collective power to create transformational change when what we’re up against is so powerful and volatile? And we are hearing from communities most impacted by these threats: how can people of faith leverage their power, resources, and sometimes bodies, to show up in solidarity with us? And can we trust them to do that well?

Our 2025 Fall Fundraiser engaged these hard questions through a discussion with panelists whose organizations are led by communities who are facing heightened threats in this moment, and who we have collaborated with closely over the past year. We were joined by Vanessa Reyes from Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN), Jesara Schroeder from SHARE/WHEEL, Mona Atallah from Washington for Peace and Justice, and Moni Tep from Lavender Rights Project. Our panel shared about the unique yet interconnected challenges facing their communities, and invited us into deeper relationship. Together, we know that we can face and withstand the threats to our communities and imagine a path toward liberation and justice.

A big thank you as well to our performers Amerique Josephine Gervasi Mendez (left) and Carlos Cabezas (right), DayoSense Catering, and Quest Church!

Through gifts given before, during, and after the event, we surpassed our fundraising goal of $15,000, raising a total of $18,000 and growing! We appreciate your continued investment in our collective power, supporting the sustainability of our faith-rooted community organizing at a time that yearns for faith and spirit to guide us. If you have not been able to give to the Fall Fundraiser, help us reach our stretch goal of $20,000!
