The Church Council represents more than 400 congregations and 15 denominations in King County and south Snohomish County.  As a voice for the faith community, we speak up on social and economic issues and help lead efforts for positive change. We also work to strengthen and connect communities of faith through a variety of programs and resources.

 

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity - This annual January event draws representatives from churches throughout King County.  The 2011 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is from January 18 - 25, 2011 with the theme One in the apostles' teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer (Acts 2: 42 - 47).

The Church Council will be joining with Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry and Seattle First Baptist to host an event on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 7 p.m. at Seattle First Baptist Church, 1111 Harvard Ave., Seattle.  The Rev. Wm. Chris Boerger, Bishop of the Northwest Washington Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, will preach.
